Adobe Max 2020
Adobe Max is Adobe’s annual technology and creativity conference.
The 2020 event was special because it was 100% digital and free-to-attend.
The sweep of the event is wide, from Adobe’s overall direction (from CEO Shanatanu Narayan, CPO Scott Belsky, CMO Ann Lewnes), to product marketing-education (focused on Creativity Cloud), to user stories (from artists, creatives and super-users).
You can watch Adobe Max 2020 on-demand at the link below, but before you go here are a few of my favorites …
The new version of Illustrator for iPad using Apple Pencil. Wow. That is a product that was waiting to happen.
The Sensei (Adobe’s AI) enhancements to Photoshop called "neural filters” are not of this world. They are amazing enough with image manipulation to come with an ethical warning label from Adobe’s Content Authenticity Initiative.
Artist Raku Inoue's ephemeral “Natura Insects” are beautiful and worth a look.
Kahn Academy’s content lead Adam Green’s piece on instructional videos for learning reminded me that the Communications Industry would be better if it had more Kahn and less Cannes.
Usually creativity is flexed as the superpower at Adobe Max, but this year virtual workflow was too. Given collaboration has to happen under lockdown this year, it made a nice tie to Adobe’s other event called Experience Makers for Marketing Cloud products.
Adobe Max 2020 … the best event I’ve never been to!
