Toots Birdwell

I love this little profile film about Honolulu surfer Arthur Anchinges, known to his friends as Toots.

It captures nicely the simplified life he leads around the things he loves most - surfing, his girlfriend, making surfboards, his dogs. 

The water shots are really well done - visually capturing the motion of surfers in the ocean. And the breaks that Toots calls home.

The voiceovers are first-person from Toots and Caroline, which make the story track very personal.

It is branded content, backed by The Surfers Journal and Birdwell (produced by Keith Kandell) … but the story leads and the characters, including the brands, fit without stretching.
