Apple One
Apple One looks interesting.
This fall Apple will offer a subscpription bundle that includes Music, TV+, Arcade, iCloud and more depending on the plan.
The Rittenhouse House currently subscribes to most of these (not Arcade) and we would save $8/month if we bought them in the bundle.
There is one complication, getting everyone on the same iCloud account. But otherwise we already have Family plans for Music and TV+.
Over the course of a year we would save ~$100 and there would be fewer transactions.
I’m not sure about Premier plan which includes News+ and Fitness+.
In my opinion, News+ is weak without The New York Times so it doesn’t seem that valuable.
And Fitness+ is a reason to buy the Apple Watch, which is WAY more than a fitness tracker.
Recurring revenue bundles are a good business for Apple. While still primarily a device manufacturer with +50% of revenue coming from iPhone, the second largest business (I think, around 20%) now comes from services like those in the Apple One bundle.
