Tokyo Art Book Fair
Tokyo Art Book Fair (TABF) is an annual event focused on art-related publications.
Exhibitors range from local independent publishers to big internationals (Steidl, Phaidon, Thames & Hudson) and beyond, including book designers, printers, paper companies.
The experience is convivial with author lectures, book signings, panel discussions, etc.
In 2017, TABF was hosted in an art complex on Tennouzu Isle called Warehouse TERRADA.
TERRADA's art warehouse is an example of their two areas of business (1) fine art, wine, and archival document/film/magnetic media storage and (2) area revival projects.
The area revival project on Tennozu Isle is wide ranging including art space, retail, restaurants, workspace for the design/visual communications community, even a super-modern Steinway piano showroom.
Warehouse TERRADA was just the right setting for the 2017 TABF and I hope they continue to hold the event there into the future.
