Later this month Apple will open its first store in 京都, Japan's ancient capital.
Apple says the new store design has been inspired by the city's tradition of creativity.
The store's design and identity draw inspiration from traditional Japanese latticework.
“Since ancient times, ideas and creativity have intertwined like latticework” it says in the pre-opening marketing content.
Apple says that its stores represent an intersection of ideas and creativity.
There is even an iTunes playlist for the new store!
The new store is located in the Shijo district / 四条 /.
