I am a careful reader of Scott Berinato, senior editor at HBR whose interest lies in visualising and communicating data better. 

In the January-February 2019 issue, he wrote an explainer piece that offers practical advice for organizations that have invested in top data scientists, amassed zettabytes of material, and are now running it through systems of deduction to look for signals in the volume of noise … but not gotten the value they expected. 

His solution involves teamwork and a portfolio of talent that goes beyond data management and analytics to include project managers, subject matter experts, designers and storytellers.
